About Dr Yash Chauhan

Dr Yash Chauhan is a dynamic Endocrinologist and Diabetologist based in Mumbai with over 6 years of experience in the field.

He completed his MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Thane, followed by postgraduate residency training in General Medicine at the P. D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. He also holds the highly regarded MRCP (UK) qualification from the Royal College of Physicians, UK.

Dr Chauhan gained extensive experience in Acute and General Medicine while working in the Critical Care Unit at Nanavati Superspecialty Hospital and as a Clinical Assistant at P. D. Hinduja Hospital.

He secured first rank and gold medal from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in the DM (Endocrinology) examination after completing his super-specialty training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism from the prestigious Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai. In addition, he holds the DrNB Endocrinology degree from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and the SCE in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Royal College of Physicians, UK.

Further strengthening his academic and clinical expertise, Dr Chauhan served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital. He subsequently gained valuable international experience in the United Kingdom as a Specialty Doctor at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, where he was exposed to recent advancements and evidence-based management of diabetes and endocrine disorders.

He currently works as a Consultant Endocrinologist at the renowned Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, as well as his clinic in Santacruz (West), Mumbai, where he has been in practice since many years.

Dr Chauhan is actively involved in academics, regularly participating as a faculty speaker at conferences, and has several publications and poster presentations at national and international meetings.

He has extensive experience in treating a broad range of endocrine conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, and polycystic ovarian syndrome, as well as complex diseases such as parathyroid and adrenal disorders, Cushing’s syndrome, acromegaly, and endocrine emergencies like diabetic ketoacidosis and adrenal crises.
